Who We Are
About the Church
A young congregation in the Permian Basin, doing an old and simple thing: worshiping the triune God as He commands, and building a people devoted to His Word.
Our Story
Midland Reformed Church is a church plant. We do not yet have a building of our own. For now we gather in a metal warehouse on the north edge of town, which suits us fine. The church is the people, not the property.
We are a congregation of the Vanguard Presbyterian Church, planted to worship the living God as He commands, to preach His Word without apology, and to build a people devoted to it. Midland is an oil town, hard-working and unsentimental, and the men who lead this church came up in its industry. We are not interested in performance or polish. We are interested in the truth, and in the long work of a congregation growing up into Christ.
If you are new to Reformed worship, you are welcome here. If you have been at it for fifty years, you are welcome here. Come and see.
Our Officers
A plurality of elders
The church is governed by a plurality of elders, equal in office and shared in the work. No man rules it alone. These are the men who teach, lead, and shepherd this congregation.
